COMPREHENSIVE
PREVENTION SERVICES
The
primary goals of Comprehensive Prevention Services are to prevent the initiation
of substance abuse and to reduce the communities’ problems related to alcohol,
tobacco, and other drug abuse. Prevention resources are targeted toward
reducing community and individual risk factors related to alcohol, tobacco, and
other drug abuse. Examples of available services include the Children Learning
Other Ways Naturally (CLOWN) Together program, training programs on substance
abuse and life skills as well as assistance in all types of prevention
activities. Services are offered to schools, businesses and community groups.

INTOUCH
InTouch (Illinois
Network to Organize the Understanding of Community Health) is part of a
statewide system designed to foster communication among all prevention providers
and facilitate the networking necessary to bring prevention efforts into
harmony. InTouch provides technical
assistance and training to prevention providers, schools, and community
groups and is an advocate for social policy change that supports a no-use
message for our youth.

EMPLOYEE SERVICES
Employee Services
offers a broad-brush Employee Assistance Program (EAP) designed to address
company concerns as well as employee personal problems. Employee Services
provides supervisory training to management staff, assistance with policy
development, consultation on achieving compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace
Act, educational presentations and assistance to employees whose personal
problems are affecting their job performance.
Services are contracted to individual businesses or companies.
